What we do
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip link to the main content.
- Headings follow a logical order. Every photo that carries information has a text description, and purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and background colors meet the AA contrast ratio, and text can be resized to 200 percent without loss of content.
- Animations respect your operating system's reduced motion setting, and every slideshow that advances on its own has a pause button.
- Forms have visible labels, fill in your name, email and phone from your browser, and errors are described in text.
- Menus and photo viewers open in dialogs that keep keyboard focus inside, close with the Esc key, and return you to where you were.
- The page language is declared, and where a Spanish version of a page exists it is linked from the header.
Known limitations
- Restaurant and spa menus are photographed pages. If you use a screen reader, ask us for a text version and we will send it by email the same day.
- Blog posts are published in English only.
- Embedded YouTube videos and Google Maps, and third-party services we link to such as the booking engine, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
Tell us if something is in your way
Write to info@hotelparador.com or call +506 2777-1415. Describe the page and what happened, and we will fix it or offer the information another way.
How we check
Every page is tested with the axe-core automated checker at desktop and phone widths, and the menus, photo viewers and slideshows are checked with a keyboard. Automated tools cannot catch everything, so we welcome reports from the people who use the site.
