Quepos Verde Aventura
A guided bicycle tour of a small village near Quepos with a farm stop, a waterfall swim and cheesy corn tortillas.
Portalón is a small rural town 30 minutes south of Quepos, and this guided bike tour rides right through it. You visit the local school, known in the area for its work on sustainability, and stop at the "pulpería," the corner store where the town meets and catches up.
It is an honest look at everyday life in Costa Rica. After the ride we reach a nearby community, where a short walk leads to a waterfall you can swim in. Then come fresh corn tortillas with cheese or picadillo.
On the afternoon tour you can finish at Matapalo Beach, a 15-minute drive away, for sunset.
On the afternoon tour, a sunset stop at Matapalo Beach, 15 minutes away, is recommended.
